Demand drives supply

Creating a virtual gas pipeline
A Gardner Denver CNG mother daughter distribution system will untether your site from costly fixed infrastructure and diesel power generation. Site energy demands are no longer restricted by the capacity of fixed infrastructure supplying your site. With the virtual gas pipeline, the volume supplied to site can be easily increased or decreased as required. Short term spikes can be easily managed, long term reductions donít leave you with costly, under utilised fixed infrastructure.
The operating principle
The Gardner Denver CNG mother daughter distribution system has three separate operational elements that link together to provide your virtual gas pipeline.
Connected to the existing low pressure gas network. Natural gas from the network is filtered of impurities, metered and compressed, before being made available for loading onto road transportation to the usage site.
Power for the compression units can be provided by either an electric motor or a gas powered engine again supplied from the mains system.
Transportation to the usage site is by specially equipped trucks fitted with high pressure gas transportation modules.
These vehicles can also be fuelled with the same compressed natural gas fuel, significantly fleet operating and maintenance costs.
The number of vehicles used is scalable depending on the number of daughter sites being supplied and the volume of gas required at each site.
On arrival at the daughter station, the gas from the transportation module is decanted for use through an on site pressure reducing station.
The decanted CNG can either be directly used from the transportation module or optionally stored on site in a local gas storage module provided by Gardner Denver.
When the CNG supply is depleted, the truck returns the transportation module to the mother station, repeating the refill and resupply process.
Scalable system capacity
The number of daughter stations supplied by the system is limited only by the number of delivery vehicles in your fleet and the capacity of your mother station to refill them.
